Ride Manchester is a new cycling project based in the south of the city.. We are all cycling enthusiasts who believe that cycling can be beneficial in many areas of life: not only is cycling the best way to get around our busy city, but it is healthy, environmentally friendly, empowering, cheap – and most importantly – FUN.

We want to improve the lives of Mancunians using the bicycle as the tool. We hope to provide free bikes to marginalised groups in the future, if we get enough funding. For now, we provide cheap bikes to the people of Manchester, and give them the skills to maintain them.

Due to our non-commercial nature, we can offer what no bike shop in the Manchester area can: the sharing of our skills, the use of our resources, and genuine impartial advice and information.

We are a non-profit group. So we (hope to) pay ourselves a wage, but no more. Extra profits are used to pay bills, and if we have any left it goes in the bank to be spent on stuff we might need, or exiting new projects.
Read Services section to see how we can help you or your group.

Ride Manchester wants to encourage transport of the sustainable sort, and we want to see more people riding bikes!

A recent review of our shop - click here - Quite nice really!, i like this bit the best, " The staff are friendly, if slightly scatty." ... its so true.
